Goal

Add an accent-color control to Settings → Appearance so Hermternal's tint can follow the system accent or a user-selected color.

Scope

  • Default: System; preserve the current native tint.
  • Offer a restrained native palette plus a custom color picker if macOS 26 provides a suitable control.
  • Apply consistently to selection, send/stop controls, links, progress, focus, and message chrome.
  • Persist the choice and honor Light, Dark, Increase Contrast, and Differentiate Without Color.
  • Keep semantic warning/error colors semantic; never recolor them with the accent.

Acceptance

Changing the setting updates every accent-bearing surface live, survives relaunch, and remains legible in both themes and translucent materials.
