Goal

Expand Settings → Appearance with a curated theme gallery: many high-quality, recognizable palettes without turning the app into an unstructured color generator.

Direction

  • Keep System, Light, and Dark as first-class defaults.
  • Add a curated collection inspired by popular editor/terminal palettes, with names/attribution reviewed for licensing and trademark safety.
  • Each theme defines semantic tokens (window, sidebar, chat, bubble roles, code block, accent, selection, warning/error), not arbitrary per-view colors.
  • Live preview in Settings; applying is immediate and reversible.
  • Themes must coexist with independent sidebar/chat glass intensity, Increase Contrast, Reduce Transparency, and accent-color settings.
  • Prefer bundled immutable theme definitions; no remote theme execution or CSS/WebView.

Acceptance

Every bundled theme passes contrast checks in its supported appearance modes, preserves semantic warning/error meaning, and survives relaunch.
