Read docs/DESIGN.md section by section. For each decided rule, check the code: implemented as written, implemented differently, or missing. Also find any code that builds an item still marked OPEN (a hard rule violation). Skip items already tracked by an open issue (search first). Output a table per section and file issues per drift group, citing the DESIGN section and file:line.

Read-only job (LIGHT class)

This job runs at the lowest CPU priority on a shared, overloaded build host. Do not build or test: no cargo build/test/clippy/check, no bun install/build/test/run check, no servers, no browsers. Use rg, sed, git, scripts/fj, and reading. Write findings to audit-findings.md at the worktree root as you go (append per finding) and commit it on your branch. For each real defect: search existing issues first (scripts/fj --host https://git.kayg.org issue search --repo kayg/calternal "<terms>"), then either add evidence to the existing issue or create one self-contained issue (title, evidence with file:line, owner rule or DESIGN section, expected behaviour, test idea) that a later build job can own. Group findings that share one fix into one issue (one owner per shared fix). No product code changes. Post a summary with the list of issues on your own issue. Docs use ASD-STE100 Simplified Technical English.

Starting the read-only design audit on branch job/design-drift, based on 440e19dce23040ac8ebaae88f0469b6535b1afcb (origin/dev). I have read CLAUDE.md, CONTEXT.md and all sections of docs/DESIGN.md. I am checking implementation coverage and will search for an existing open issue before filing each drift group.

Completed the static design drift audit.

The committed audit-findings.md contains a status table for each of the 57 DESIGN sections and ten confirmed drift groups. I searched open issues before filing and added code evidence, expected behaviour and a regression-test idea to the existing issues below. I created no duplicate issues.

Updated issues: #65, #581, #430, #726, #407, #543, #486, #479, #491, #542.

Report commit: 057f446a6d on job/design-drift.

Gate output: NOT RUN — the read-only job forbids builds and tests. No build or test command was run.

Static whitespace check: git diff --check — passed with no output.

Final audit update: the section-by-section review found 13 drift groups. This supersedes my earlier summary on this issue, which listed ten groups before I checked the later owner overrides and cross-section conflicts.

The report is committed as audit-findings.md. It has a status table for all 57 DESIGN sections, including the Agent FUSE conflict, the stale §18 performance-gate wording, and the §57 Calendar no-animation conflict.

Updated existing issues: #65, #581, #430, #726, #407, #543, #486, #479, #491, #542, #242, #611, #663. Each comment includes source evidence, expected behaviour and a regression-test idea. I created no duplicate issues.

Started design-sync on job/design-sync, base 440e19dce23040ac8ebaae88f0469b6535b1afcb (origin/dev).

Scope: correct decided DESIGN text from the design-drift audit. Change one section per commit and record evidence in audit-findings.md. Leave Agent FUSE (#242) and OPEN items unchanged. This LIGHT job runs no builds, tests, servers or browsers.

Completed design-sync on job/design-sync.

Head: 8907ac44dcec4d8bb5896f1bf3952d57bbc2992e.

Changed sections (one commit per section):

  • §18 — weekly performance review; measured regressions do not block merges; mechanical guards remain gates (8dadf0963).
  • §33 — permanent Task file identity and retained aliases (01c089351).
  • §45 — automatic protected Mail image loading, silent tracking-pixel removal, default-on setting and no reader consent prompt (01c9bf1f4).
  • §57 — Calendar keyboard actions use shared motion; reduced motion applies; loading never waits (d44b9a21b).

Files: docs/DESIGN.md and audit-findings.md. Final audit verification is committed separately (8907ac44d). CONTEXT.md needs no change: no term changed. No product code or dependency changed.

Existing issue evidence updated: #663, #65, #726, #736 and #611. No new or closed issue.

Verification output verbatim:

git fetch origin && git merge origin/dev:

Already up to date.

git diff --check, git diff 440e19dce..HEAD --check, and git status --porcelain: exit 0, no output.

Build/test gates were not run: this LIGHT job explicitly forbids them. No server, browser, performance run or adversarial round. No generated build output exists from this job; no build cleanup is needed. No push or deployment.

Known gaps: Agent FUSE (#242), OPEN choices and implementation gaps in the source audit remain unchanged. §34 already has the current motion rule.

Decisions: use the later owner comment on #726 over its old issue body. Reference #663 mechanical guards without linking to absent §58. No new product decision.

UX gaps closed: none (documentation only). UX gaps left: source-audit implementation gaps remain assigned to their existing repair issues.

For the merge round: reconcile the queued performance and agent-discovery section numbers; retain these four corrections. No new runtime command is required for this Markdown-only change.
